Kalymnos
I recently spent time in Kalymnos, a beautiful Greek island known for its sport climbing. Its limestone cliffs and sea views create an amazing climbing atmosphere. Each day, we woke early, packed our gear, and chose a crag to explore. The rock here has plenty of holds and unique formations, which makes for great variety.
On this trip, I climbed a few harder routes myself but also helped Elie and Wida with their lead climbing. We focused on building good habits, clipping correctly, and staying calm when pushing their limits. We also worked on planning each move before committing. It was rewarding to see their confidence grow every day.
Between climbs, we enjoyed simple Greek food and relaxed on the beach. The island has a peaceful vibe, and after a day on the rock, it felt good to unwind by the water.
Kalymnos is a fantastic sport climbing destination, and I’m grateful I got to visit again. I’m already looking forward to going back for more climbs in the future.
